A ten-day pilgrimage combining Rome's four major basilicas, the catacombs, and a Papal audience with a journey to Assisi — the Porziuncola, the Hermitage of the Carceri, and the shrines of Francis and Clare.
Reflection
The catacombs are unlike anything else — walking those narrow tunnels where the early Christians buried their dead and celebrated the Eucharist in secret, you feel two thousand years of faith pressing in. Then Assisi, and the Hermitage of the Carceri tucked into the forest above the town, where Francis came to disappear into God. Both cities ask you to slow down.
